Pre order shipment & unboxing

As you may know, we had planned some pre-shipment quality checks.

Unfortunately, during the quality check, we have identified that a part of the XL Hydration paper had been damaged during the transportation between 2 factories.

So, 2 weeks ago, we have ordered a new batch to replace the damaged paper. The production is already finished and on its way to our final assembly factory. Now we are waiting for the assembly and the final quality check for the Studio.

Please note this issue had only affected a part of hydration paper for the Studio XL and nothing else.

However, we must wait for the whole production to be completed before we can ship anything. It won’t take long.  We thank you in advance for your understanding.

We will keep you updated as soon as we have a date for the shipment.

As for the Painter size, we have received in Paris a full box of 30 Everlasting Wet Palette Painter size. As you can see in our unboxing video they look really nice.

If you have not seen it yet, you can also find a set up video on our Facebook page or website.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Over the past few weeks, we have worked closely with the 3 factories and especially with the one responsible of the wet palette and packaging production. We are happy to say, everything looks great.

We have just approved the last version of the wet palette ! So it means the production will soon be completed.   (foam and paper production are already completed)

Last time, we were unhappy with the opening mechanism. It was too hard and uneasy to use. So we have improved the seal and add 2 small handles ( on the left and on the right of the wet palette). Now, it is perfect and the wet palette is still airtight!

We have also improved the wavy accessory (well palette). This version is still in ABS but a little bit glossy. Why glossy? because it really helps when you want to clean it.

You will all received a PDF with explanations on how to use and also how to clean your wet palette.

We have a lot of things to share today!
First, the production of the HYDRATION FOAM is complete. Monday morning, we have received a few production samples and everything is fine.

The 2 million hydration paper sheets are currently in production. It won’t take long before all are packed and shipped to our main manufacturer. We have also received a few production samples and tested them, they are great!

Last week, we have received new production samples of the everlasting wet palette: Painter and Studio XL size and the wavy accessory.

As you can see, the overall quality is great.

We had however one unexpected issue. In certain conditions, the current opening mechanism can be hard to open and not as user friendly as expected. The TPE seal is a little bit more potent than expected!

So, we have decided, it would be better for the project to improve it. Our producer is already working on the mold accordingly and we should receive one last run. Once validated, we will launch the production.

So when will you receive your Everlasting Wet Palette?

With the mold improvements going on, it will take a few more weeks to finish the production. But we are still on track to start delivering within our 6-month time frame, so you should expect to receive your product in April/May. We know some expected a delivery in the last days of March, we tried hard to reach it as well. But we decided it’s better to slide deliveries towards the end of our initial time frame and have a better product.

Thank you for your patience!                                    Fabrice & Vivien

First of all, our best wishes for 2018!

Production is moving along as expected. We have improved the paper and the foam, and we are on track for our 4-6 months after the end of the campaign schedule as announced during the KS campaign. You can find all the details below.

In order to deliver this project we need to work with 3 different manufacturers. We give you here the latest news from all 3.

The hydration paper:

From our review sessions, we knew that the hydration paper was great. Still, we have decided it would be worth it to take a little bit of time and resources to improve the hydration paper even more. So this new hydration paper is a lot more resistant, whiter and works great with all hobby paints and nicely with heavy body paints too. We have asked a few reviewers to test this new version and they all agreed, that it works better! The production of the paper will start in the coming days. For backers, we need 2 million sheets! But don’t worry, it won’t take long to complete this production.

The hydration foam:

We now have a production version for the hydration foam to show you. We have changed a few things, first the color is a neutral grey almost white. Secondly, the composition is a little bit different and allow us to have the best hydration results with a thickness of 2.5mm. For those wondering, we tried to increase the thickness, but the results were not interesting, and it was better to work on the composition to improve the hydration performance.

The wet palette:

If you remember, we have started the production of the mold at the end of the campaign. Yesterday, we have received a few photos from our manufacturers with the first production run. As you can see, they are white but don’t worry the case will be Orange for the painter and blue for the Studio XL.

They still need to improve the mold a little bit. Once it is done, it should take a full week to produce the wet palette. (painter and studio XL size)

We will make a news once we have a production sample in hand.

 On time?

Yes we still plan on delivering Everlasting wet palette on time, meaning 4 to 6 months after the end of the campaign. We will have a more precise timeline to give you in the coming weeks. We are well aware of the Chinese New year and it shouldn’t impact our timeline.

And about vacation, we hope you have enjoyed Christmas! Maybe a few board games was under the Christmas tree?

So Happy New year to all!                  Vivien & Fabrice
